CHOCOLATE BANANA BREAD WITH PEANUT BUTTER MACA FROSTING

INGREDIENTS:

PEANUT BUTTER MACA FROSTING:
CHOCOLATE BANANA BREAD:
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup nut butter
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons almond flour
  • 2 scoops chocolate protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons Karen Berrios Cacao Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder + 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

INSTRUCTIONS:

PEANUT BUTTER MACA FROSTING:

Add all ingredients to food processor and blend until combined and then place in the fridge for an hour (while you cook the banana bread).


CHOCOLATE BANANA BREAD:

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Mash the banana and then mix with rest of wet ingredients.

Mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl.

Add the wet to the dry and mix again.

Line pan with parchment paper.

Pour in banana bread batter and bake for 45-50 minutes.

Wait for the banana bread to cool and add the frosting and dust with more cacao powder.
