
LAUREN'S GF VEGAN SALTED CARAMEL BROWNIES
Ingredients:
Brownie layer:
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup coconut flour
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup Karen Berrios Cacao Powder
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
Caramel Layer:
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup cashew butter
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- Dash of salt
Chocolate Layer:
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- Sea salt for the top
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine dry ingredients for brownie layer and then stir in wet ingredients.
- Pour into 8x8 baking pan lined with parchment paper. Bake for approximately 25 min.
- While brownies are baking, prepare the caraceml in a saucepan by combining the ingredients and stirring over low-med heat until thick. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Once the brownies have cooled, pour the caramel layer over the top and place in the freezer until hardened.
- Melt chocolate and coconut oil and pour over the top of the caramel layer.
- Top with sea salt and place back in the freezer until the chocolate layer is hardened.
- Store in the fridge or freezer. Enjoy!
