
DELI-BROWNIES
INGREDIENTS:
- 3/4 cup boiled, rinsed and drained black beans
- 1/2 cup Karen Berrios Cacao Nibs
- 1/4 cup Karen Berrios Cacao Powder
- 1/3 cup organic melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup cane sugar
- 1/3 cup whole flour
- 2 tablespoons Almond Maca Butter or Sweet Lucuma Butter
- 2 tablespoons Karen Berrios Cacao Nibs (will be used at the end)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- Pinch of salt
- Honey to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix beans,1/2 cup cacao nibs and the melted butter in a food processor. Process until smooth.
Add sugar, cacao powder, vanilla and egg, lightly beaten. Blend until combined.
In a bowl, combine whole flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add to the chocolate mixture. Process just until combined.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Lightly butter the bottom of a 9-inch square baking pan or line it with parchment paper (lightly grease the foil).
Spread the batter in the prepared baking pan. Bake between 10-12 minutes.
Sprinkle nuts and cacao nibs.
Bake between 10-12 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from edge of the pan comes out clean.
Cool in the pan on a wire rack.
